For Rotary Clubs

The Wish Prince Project / Teachers / Students and Parents / Rotary Clubs / Donors / About the Author

The Wish Prince Project is a project of the Rotary Club of Beaverton. It brings The Wish Prince bilingual (Spanish/English) book to third grade students within the Beaverton School District. The book is a charity project in service to children and building literacy in partnership with the Beaverton Rotary Foundation. School assemblies are coordinated with school leaders to distribute the books for free.

The book’s purpose is to help students learn to set goals by following five simple daily steps to develop the mindset and skills to achieve their goals and live their dreams. Secondary objectives are to support reading and to aid the transition from Spanish to English.

At this time, we are starting to reach out to District 5100 Rotary Clubs that have expressed an interest in our Project. If your club is interested, please contact Maureen Wheeler, 503-888-3717 or Doug Taylor, 503-421-5329.

The Rotary Club of Beaverton is also proud to sponsor several other education and literacy projects and programs (Books for Kids, First Books, Dictionaries and College & Vocational Scholarships) that have endured for more than 15 years. We believe that further education and the ability to read changes lives, truly making dreams come true!
