Each year, the Beaverton Rotary, working with Rotary District 5100, sponsors a student from the Beaverton School District, matched with available exchange countries, to spend his or her junior year of high school in a foreign country. A student from a foreign country then comes to a Beaverton public high school for the year and stays with Beaverton area families. Former exchange students say it a life-changing experience. The Beaverton Rotary is looking to restart the program after letting the program lapse during the pandemic. If you have a passion for youth exchange please consider leading the efforts of Beaverton Rotary to restart this program in Beaverton.
