Warm Soles for Kids

This year, the Rotary Club of Beaverton donated 400 pairs of shoes to the Clothes for Kids Program (formerly the Clothes Closet) in the Beaverton School District. This community service is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure students have the resources they need to be successful in school.

“Many Beaverton School District families struggle to provide necessities like food, clothing and housing. A brand-new pair of shoes helps kids feel valued and ready for Oregon weather and for learning,” says Buzz Marron, Beaverton Rotarian and organizer of the effort.

This is the second year of providing hundreds of new shoes through Operation Soles. The shoes come in a range of colors and sizes for students.

The value of this year’s donation for the shoes is $6,000. Donations from members of the Rotary Club of Beaverton and community grant funding through the Beaverton Rotary Foundation make this program possible. Thank you Operation Warm for partnering with us!
