Warm Coats for Kids

This year, the Rotary Club of Beaverton donated 400 warm coats to the Clothes for Kids Program (formerly the Clothes Closet) in the Beaverton School District. This community service is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure students have the resources they need to be successful in school.

“Many Beaverton School District families struggle to provide necessities like food, clothing and housing. A brand-new coat helps kids feel valued and ready for Oregon weather and for learning,” says Buzz Marron, Beaverton Rotary member and organizer of the effort.

The Rotary Club of Beaverton has provided hundreds of coats during the last eight years through Operation Warm Coats.  The coats come in a range of colors and sizes for students.

The value of this year’s warm coats donation is $8,600. Donations from members of the Rotary Club of Beaverton and community grant funding through the Beaverton Rotary Foundation make this program possible. Thank you Operation Warm for partnering with us!
