The Rotary Club of Beaverton assists the Clothes for Kids Program (formerly the Beaverton Clothes Closet) in the Beaverton School District. Teams of Beaverton Rotarians volunteer several times a year. We also sponsor the Warm Coats and Warm Soles projects.
Clothes for Kids is operated by volunteers from the Beaverton School District’s parent groups and Beaverton area community groups to provide free clothing for students in grades K-12 from families with limited income. Students can find school-type clothing at Clothes for Kids such as: jeans, t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, warm coats, socks and new underwear. Students can visit the Clothes for Kids two times per school year.
Ongoing needs of the program:
- New underwear and socks for all ages and sizes
- Pants for elementary-aged students in sizes 5-12
- Coats for elementary-aged students in sizes 5-12
- Department store shopping bags with handles
Donations of clean, attractive, school-appropriate clothing such as warm jackets, sweatshirts, mittens and jeans are always needed.
