Angel Tree Project

Did you know….. 1 in 49 children in the United States has a dad or mom in prison – equal to one child in every classroom. Each year, Beaverton Rotarians participate in the Angel Tree project by providing gifts for children of incarcerated parents during the holidays.

Here’s how it works: Rotarians pick a gift tag or two with a child’s name and the parent’s gift idea and then they get to shopping for just the right surprise for the youngster. The gifts are lovingly wrapped and then delivered to the children on behalf of their incarcerated parent. This community service is one small step to strengthen and restore the relationship between the prisoner and their children and families.
