Beaverton Rotary is proud to announce its support for Beaverton School District students through the Warm Coats and New Shoes project for the 2025–2026 school year.
With an investment of $11,988, Beaverton Rotary is providing:
- 180 brand-new coats
- 372 pairs of shoes and socks
The coats and shoes will be distributed through the Beaverton School District’s Clothes for Kids store, ensuring that children in need have access to warm, reliable clothing as the school year begins.
The coats are being purchased through a partnership with the national nonprofit Operation Warm, which specializes in providing high-quality, durable outerwear for children across the country.
In addition, Beaverton Rotary volunteers will gather in September for a special volunteer day to help sort and prepare the coats and shoes for distribution.
“This project represents what Rotary is all about — meeting real needs in our community and showing children that they are cared for,” said Tom Freitag, President of the Beaverton Rotary Club. “Something as simple as a warm coat or a good pair of shoes can make a huge difference in a child’s confidence, health, and readiness to learn.”
Beaverton Rotary has a long tradition of service in the local community, supporting initiatives that improve education, health, and well-being for families.
